E uiga i le matafaioi - About the role: WorkSafe New Zealand is now hiring full time Health and Safety Investigations Inspectors to join their team in Whakat/Nelson to start on the 25th March 2024. As an Investigations Inspector, you will investigate incidents and events where people have been hurt or a fatality may have occurred in the workplace.
You will start as a trainee and progress through a series of in-house training courses, on-the-job experience, and coaching until you obtain a Certificate of Appointment that gives you powers as an Inspector. As your career continues, you will build your skills and knowledge to become a highly competent Investigator and regulator. To be successful in this role, you will bring a passion for health and safety, a high level of integrity, and excellent judgement.
You should be able to learn quickly, be resilient, and prepared to work as part of a team. You will know how to connect and build good relationships with a wide range of people. All our Inspectors enforce the law when required, so being firm and fair are essential qualities.
